Upon request, a Kimsa representative will greet you on the tarmac of the runway as you exit your plane and welcome you to Peru. You will be given a welcome package before being escorted to your hotel, where we will assist you with check-in.

Lima

Our experience, How Peru Came To Be, will teach you about Peru's complicated history. In this full-day tour, you'll explore antiquities, architecture, and the country's intriguing history. Your Kima guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to the picturesque Pedro de Osma Museum in Barranco, a 10-minute drive from your hotel. The Pedro de Osma Museum is a lovely early 20th-century mansion that was Pedro de Osma's residence. Today, the mansion is a private museum displaying Peruvian art from the 5th to the 18th centuries.

Cusco

Today, hike to the Sun Gate, Huayna Picchu, or Machu Picchu Mountain with your guide. After, board the bus back to Aguas Calientes to catch the Vistadome train to Ollantaytambo for your 2-hour private ride to Cusco. Choose the elegant Hiram Bingham train to reach the old city. Then relax in your Cusco hotel suite.

You’ll start your exploration of Cusco on foot, beginning at the Plaza de Armas, the Main Square which is marked by the exquisite Spanish Colonial architecture and ornamentation imposed by Spanish colonists to exert religious and political influence. From here you’ll visit Koricancha, the ‘Sun Temple’, the Cathedral - a repository for Cusco’s colonial art.

Lake Titicaca

In the morning, a Kimsa agent will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the airport in Cusco, where you'll catch a flight to Juliaca. Kimsa host will have a representative waiting for you at the Juliaca airport so that you may take a private transfer for about an hour. To get to Puno on Lake Titicaca from Cusco, you may either fly or take a full-day rail ride.

Lake Titicaca

Traveling around the shores of Lake Titicaca today, you will get to see sights like the floating reed island of Uros, where a fishing and hunting society lives. We also suggest checking out the locals of Llachon island, who are known for their exceptional weaving skills while dressed in traditional garb. Experience a local home cooked meal provided by the Santa Maria Community. This less well-known community of farmers and fisherman calls the Capachica Peninsula, home to some of the most traditional settlements in the Altiplano. A great place to relax and get to know the kind locals of this picturesque town.

Colca Canyon

From your Lake Titicaca accommodation, a private car will take you to the Colca Valley, a six-hour drive. You'll pass the picturesque rural towns of Juliaca, Santa Lucía, and Imata before traveling along Lake Lagunilla's coast to see its wild birds and flowers. Your driver will stop for photos in the Peruvian Andes, a postcard backdrop.

Arequipa

Your Colca Valley guide will pick you up in the morning to take you to Arequipa. A roadside view of snow-capped mountains and boiling volcanoes is stunning. After the Pampa of Caahuas and a forest with remarkable rock formations, the Peruvian Andes with traditional agricultural life are shown. Then it's four hours to Arequipa, "The White City."

Arequipa, nicknamed as "The White City," is Peru's second-largest city at 2,335 meters (7,660 feet) at the foot of El Misti. Arequipa is a UNESCO World Heritage city for its colonial architecture, distinctive views, and closeness to five volcanoes, which you will see today. Visit the Santa Teresa Convent, now a Colonial Art Museum, with the city's leading Viceregal Art and Aracari specialist. Aracari's tour guides are also distinguished scholars.
