Indulge in a relaxed morning. Today, see Peru's capital by visiting the Plaza Mayor and Cathedral of Lima. Proceed to the Church of San Francisco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to admire its magnificent library and unique paintings and murals. Visit the Larco Museum, known for its collection of pre-Columbian artefacts, which is considered one of the top museums in the city. The museum is located in an impressive 18th-century home with gardens and has more than 45,000 pieces of ceramics, mummies, a gold chamber, and fabrics made of feathers.

Travel to Cusco, situated at an altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level. Upon arrival, travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where an ancient way of life is preserved. The purpose and building of this ancient site remain a mystery as the Incan residents did not leave any written records. Stay overnight at the sole on-site accommodations to have extra time exploring the citadel when there are less visitors in the late afternoon and early the next morning.
